IAG New Zealand is delighted to announce it is a finalist in Excellence in Workplace Diversity and Inclusion at the annual New Zealand Insurance Industry Awards.
The 2019 finalists have been announced by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF). The awards recognise achievements and success from across the insurance sector.
The nomination for IAG recognises the organisation’s commitment to diversity, inclusion and belonging in all its forms, Executive Manager Culture & Business Solutions Fiona Hewitt says.
“A strong, connected and inclusive culture is key to delivering on our purpose, to make the world a safer place for our customers, partners and communities. Congratulations to our People & Culture team whose work to enable our people to be celebrated for the diverse thinking and approach they bring to our business has been recognised by this nomination,” she says.
IAG’s nomination outlined the approach to diversity, inclusion and belonging, including flexible work programme, MyFlex, and the insurer’s employee network groups (ENGs). The insurer’s nomination also promoted IAG’s women in senior management (WISM) target of 50 per cent of senior management being women by 2023, and workstreams currently under way to achieve this target.
The New Zealand Insurance Industry Awards will be held November 27 at the Cordis Auckland and will be hosted by Oscar Kightley. IAG’s broker business, NZI, is a platinum sponsor for the evening as well as sponsoring the Small-Medium Broking Company of the Year category.
