AMI North Canterbury to open in February

12 December, 2018

Cantabrians looking for expert insurance support and advice will be able to visit the team at AMI North Canterbury at 3 High Street, Rangiora, from February 14 2019.

The hub, located in the new Rangiora Shopping Centre, comes as the leases at AMI’s Kaiapoi and Rangiora sites expire, as well as the desire to bring the two teams together at a new, much larger site. All existing team members will re-locate to the new store.

General Manager for AMI’s Retail Network, Alex Geale, says the new regional store will see an even greater customer experience for Cantabrians.

“We’ve seen the northern region of Rangiora grow rapidly as people relocated there after the Canterbury earthquakes,” Geale says. “With the leases expiring on our current Kaiapoi and Rangiora stores, we’ve seen it as an opportunity to bring the teams together to open AMI North Canterbury.

“We’ve been letting our Kaiapoi and Rangiora customers who come in store know, and we’ll be getting in touch with all local customers closer to the time so they know where our new hub will be.

“In the meantime it’s business as usual for our AMI Rangiora and Kaiapoi teams who will continue to serve our customers at their current locations, answer any questions about the move and keep locals updated about when our new hub will be open,” she says.

AMI North Canterbury store manager, Lisa Turner, says customers who visit the new hub will have a more convenient and easy experience. “The Rangiora Shopping Centre is in a central location and close to many suppliers AMI works with, making it easy and convenient for North Canterbury customers to talk to us about protecting their lifestyles and assets,” she says.

“Our team members are all locals with great knowledge and experience, so we’re excited for everyone to come together in February,” Turner says.

Supporting the community

AMI North Canterbury will continue to support the community events and groups the Rangiora and Kaiapoi teams currently support, including:

  1. Kaiapoi Volunteer Fire Brigade
  2. The numerous Community Watch groups within North Canterbury
  3. North Canterbury Santa Parades
  4. Waimakariri Football Club
  5. And various other community groups and events.
